What is Floating?

The technical term for Floating is REST (Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy). It is a therapeutic treatment that acts as an escape from the distractions of daily life and has been proven beneficial in many ways through ongoing clinical and psychological studies. Floating removes you from your senses and enables your mind to drift into a state of deep reflection; exploring new ideas and avenues while your body is completely at peace, cheapest floating in a pool of salt water. While floating, you become virtually weightless in every aspect — mind, body and soul.

The appointment will begin with a brief consultation. To ensure you get the most out of your Floating journey, you will be given instructions and tips to help you through the process. Then, you will rinse off in one of our serene showers so that our pods are kept safe from outside particles that could disturb the effectiveness of your float.

The float begins with you being assisted into our spacious i-sopod flotation tank. The tank, or pod, is filled halfway with a mixture of water that matches the temperature of your skin and 1,100 pounds of Epsom salt. Once in the pod, the lid will close and you’ll be able to situate yourself into position that feels natural and comfortable. The temperature of the water makes it seem as if it’s not even there, and the Epsom salt enables your body to effortlessly float. There is a light switch inside that you can choose to turn off or leave on. Once the lights are off, there is nothing left to do but completely let go and enjoy your float. It usually takes up to three sessions for someone to get used to Floating and reap all of the benefits, but even after just one session, the results are incredible.

Afterwards, you’ll continue relaxing with a nice shower to rinse away any salt water on your skin and hair. Then, regroup in our lounge with a warm cup of tea. When ready, we’ll discuss your session and schedule another one for you.
